Our research in the Development Policy and Practice  Group (DPP) seeks to shed light on how states as drivers and agents of development, while also exploring  alternative political systems that challenge the prevailing development paradigms. The DPP group draws on an extensive network of academic partnerships with researchers, policy makers and grassroots organisations in Europe, Africa, and Latin America to get a well-rounded view of global development.
Within this broad and cross-cutting agenda we focus on:
