The Open University expects that all research carried out in its name is conducted to the highest standards of excellence, rigour and integrity and is fully committed to the principles set out in the Concordat to Support Research Integrity (2019). We publish an annual Research Integrity Statement.

The Open University Research Code of Practice sets out the standards that govern research at The Open University.

Who is responsible for the conduct of research at The Open University?

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Research and Innovation, oversees the conduct of research at The Open University. He is the first point of contact for information on research integrity and is responsible for the investigation of allegations of research malpractice or misconduct.
