Based in Ayr, Albion Environmental’s vision is to provide complete solutions to the waste and resource management industry. With the focus on recovering more value from the waste stream, there are more processes where bioaerosols are emitted in large quantities. All composting, anaerobic digestion and waste management sites require bioaerosol risk assessments prior to becoming established and afterwards regular bioaerosol monitoring. When Albion Environmental embarked on this KTP there were a limited number of organisations offering this service and none were located in Scotland. This presented the waste management industry with the challenge to find suitably trained contractors to undertake bioaerosol assessments and monitoring and provided an opportunity for Albion Environmental to gain and embed the knowledge expertise to fill this gap.
