OU academic honoured for outstanding contributions to research

Parvati Raghuram

Parvati Raghuram, OU Professor of Geography and Migration has just been elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in recognition of her outstanding contributions to research and to the application of social science to policy, education, society and the economy.

Professor Raghuram is a member of International Development and Inclusive Innovation (IDII), is Principal Investigator on the AHRC-funded project Decolonising Peace Education in Africa and co-investigator on the ESRC-funded research project Migration for Inclusive African Growth, which is examining how recent migration to and within Africa may be contributing to more sustainable and inclusive growth on the continent.
