Professional biography

Dimitrios Vogiatzis is a Doctoral Researcher, currently pursuing his PhD in Technology Enhanced Learning at the Institute of Educational Technology (IET), The Open University (OU), supported by the award of a Leverhulme scholarship. Dimitrios obtained a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Primary Education at the University of Thessaly in Greece. After having worked as a teacher for two years, Dimitrios enrolled on the MA in Technology and Language Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which he completed (with a distinction mark) in 2017 with a dissertation on Mobile Assisted Language Learning.  For his PhD project, he is currently investigating the use of Social Media for language learning purposes.
