Melissa Bailey - Staff tutor

Operational… that has been my role in the OU for the last 10 years, working with tutors, including leading staff development, in the North of England and internationally.

My association with The Open University began in 2006 when I started work as an Associate Lecturer, teaching Creative Writing to students across Europe. My BA and PGCE were from London University in English and Drama, my Creative Writing MA was achieved at Lancaster University.  Over the years I have been involved with a number of co-created writing and drama projects including standing in the rain as a living statute and constructing the eco installation ‘Dodge’.  I am on the A363 module team. Recently I worked on a scholarship project about the pedagogy of online learning and I am a Senior Fellow of the HEA.
