Professional biography

I have a background in applied biology, education and health. I have held posts in secondary schools teaching science and maths and have been involved in higher education distance learning for over 20 years. I currently work as Lecturer and Staff Tutor within the Facutly of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies and specifically in the field of Health and Social Care. In my role as a Staff Tutor I manage Associate Lecturers teaching across a range of health and social care modules.

Research interests

My research interests include professionalisation of healthcare practitioners and also widening participation.
