I am an Environment and Development Researcher. Before joining the Open University as a PhD student, I worked as a Lecturer at the Department of Planning and Development of the Christian Service University College, Kumasi-Ghana. Also, I served as a Senior Tutor and a Part-Time Lecturer on the Distance Learning Programmes of the University of Cape Coast and the University of Ghana respectively. I participated in various action research and evaluation assignments as a Research Assistant for various international organisations including USAID, Global Health and Development Center at Boston University, Human Sciences Research Council, Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) etc.
My research interests revolve around the interplay of nature and society and the implications of such relationships at multiple levels. I enjoy multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research. Broadly, food security discourses, natural resource governance, land use and land cover dynamics, remote sensing and geospatial analysis are areas of great interest to me.
