Impact and knowledge exchange

The Impact team has oversight for the development and delivery of research impact knowledge exchange activities, liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders across and outside the University to maximise the impact of Open University research.

The team plays a critical part in preparation activities for the University’s Research Excellence Framework (REF) and the Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) and can assist Faculties and Institutes to develop a university approach to impact as well as providing some practical tools and support with the aim of helping academics develop their skills and understand how to recognise, capture and communicate non-academic impact.
