Richard Mutisya

Richard Mutisya is an experienced Researcher at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) with a wealth of experience in Health systems research, Public health and Human Nutrition spanning over 10 years. Over the years, Richard has designed and implemented various projects both at the national level and in local selected regions in the field of Health systems, Public Health and Nutrition. He has co-authored and continues to several peer reviewed journal articles. Richard is experienced in quantitative data management and mobile devices data collection. Richard has also been a faculty member and trained at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology as well as the South Eastern Kenya University. Currently he is a Doctoral student at the Open University (UK) undertaking doctoral research work focused on ‘sustainable availability of medical devices in African health systems more specifically the Eastern African region’. An interesting and timely research area in the context of health systems in Low- and Middle-Income countries faced with the double burden of continued Infectious and growing numbers of Non-communicable diseases.
