Pallavi Joshi

Pallavi Joshi is a GCRF project’s doctoral candidate in Department of Policy and Practice, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Her doctoral studentship is focussed on examining constraints and opportunities for generating more accessible cancer care in low- and middle-income countries, particularly India. As a part of her research, she seeks to develop a model for inclusive health using multi-stakeholder approach. She has previously worked with the Health Policy Initiative of Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations, a New Delhi (India) based think-tank, where her core areas of research included global health policy and pharmaceutical regulations. Her work experience also includes working with mergers and acquisition division of Competition Commission of India, where she was involved in analysing the competition issues in healthcare sector and pharmaceutical industry. She holds a master’s degree in Economics, with a specialization in Development Economics and Health Economics from Ambedkar University, New Delhi (India).
