The research questions we explore about industrial development in East Africa are:
(1) In Tanzania and Kenya, what are the current industrial capabilities to support cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management, and the current industrial and technological/scientific linkages with India and other major players?
(2) From the UK, what are the lessons for low resource settings concerning business and funding models to support medium-scale enterprises in new technology and therapy adoption?
(3) Under what conditions do Indian cancer-related capabilities compete with, complement or boost African capabilities?
