OU Scholarship Centres shortlisted for 2019 SEDA Award

14th October 2019

The Open University Scholarship Centres (eSTEeM, FASSTEST, LATIS, PRAXIS and SCiLAB) have been shortlisted for the prestigious SEDA Educational Development Initiative of the Year award, which aims to encourage and celebrate collaborative educational development initiatives that demonstrably improve practice and outcomes in higher education.

The OU’s application relates to the set-up of a cross-university collaborative network of five faculty-level Centres for Scholarship and Innovation at The Open University. These Centres form part of a renewed and reimagined focus, role and ambition for the scholarship of teaching and learning at the OU, and facilitate collaboratively-developed, research-informed, knowledge exchange in teaching and learning in HE. The Centres work in partnership with each other, professional services staff and OU students to coordinate the scholarship of teaching and learning conducted within the OU, maximise the benefit of evidence gathered, speed up the adoption of good practice and make innovation more visible across and beyond the OU.
