In March 2021, Holyrood Events partnered with The Open University in Scotland for a webinar that focused on building an inclusive economic recovery.

In the year that followed, we've seen the publication of the Scottish Government’s response to the Scottish Funding Council’s review of tertiary education, and we await their new 10-year National Strategy for Economic Transformation.

This webinar with Holyrood Events and the OU in Scotland is a timely opportunity to reflect on the progress made and consider what further action is required to achieve an inclusive economic recovery.

It will bring together people from the public, private and third sectors, with an interest in higher education, skills and economic development, as we look to share learning and capitalise on the expertise of key stakeholders.

Panellists:

  • Lorna Slater MSP, Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity
  • Paul Bradley, Policy and Public Affairs Manager, Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations
  • James Dunphy, Director of Access, Learning and Outcomes, Scottish Funding Council
  • Stuart Patrick, Chief Executive, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce
  • Susan Stewart, Director of The Open University in Scotland
  • Chris Marshall, Deputy Editor, Holyrood Communications (Chair)
