Paper included in RSC editor's choice 2020

Congratulations to Nick Power whose recent collaborative publication in Journal of Materials Chemistry A has been highlighted among the Royal Society of Chemistry's "Editor's Choice: Hydrothermal Materials Synthesis" for the year reflecting outstanding developments in hydrothermal materials synthesis.

Grant Success

Congratulations to Hilary Macqueen and Duncan Banks have won a grant from HUBS and HUCBMS to run a workshop next spring entitled Robust online assessment using the Moodle platform, and how to avoid plagiarism.

Recent cancer research presentations

Congratulations to Dr Perla Pucci and Maryam Latarani who recently presented their research at two international cancer research symposia. 

Maryam presented at the Crick Cancer research symposium and Perla presented at the 27th Prostate Cancer Foundation Retreat. Her presentation is now available to view here.

Check out the latest collaborative publication in Chemical Engineering Journal from LHCS lecturer Nick Power on the synthesis of Carbon Quantum Dots and their application as an alternative in enhanced oil recovery, a potential means to a more cost efficient and effective process in extending well life and production from existing hydrocarbon resources.
