REF 2021 results are out!

The results of the REF 2021 are out with 95% of Open University research in mathematical sciences judged to be internationally excellent or world leading.

The Open University's mathematical sciences submission included impact case studies on public engagement in the history of mathematics, from work of Professor June Barrow-Green, and on medical statistics, from work of Professor Paddy Farrington. All of the University's mathematical sciences impact case studies were judged to be internationally excellent or world leading. The figure shows an image on the impacts of the Self-Controlled Case Series method for vaccine safety studies, developed by Paddy and others.
