The National Enrichment Programme (NEP)

NEP logoThe National Enrichment Programme is a pan Wales collaboration between the Open University in Wales and all 12 Welsh colleges. It supports college students to develop the knowledge and skills that employers and universities are looking for, helping them take their next step.

The programme includes a series of interactive virtual workshops delivered by OU guest speakers and academics, on topics like digital skills, employability, career development, learning for society and life skills.

OpenLearn, the OU’s free informal learning platform, is central to the programme. We signpost all learners to our OpenLearn resources to help them on their learning journey. This allows them to develop their independent study skills, explore interesting topics and understand routes into studying formally.

We train the college staff delivering the programme as OU in Wales OpenLearn Champions. This gives them an understanding of OpenLearn resources so that they can help the students they work with.

Learners will have an exclusive OpenLearn landing hub, where they can find all of the programme resources including the workshop recordings, digital learner guide and reflection logs.

E-mail us at wales-partnerships@open.ac.uk if you’d like to find out more about the National Enrichment Programme.
