John Nicholson : Airedale in Ancient Times, Elwood and Elvina, The Poacher and Other Poems

'James Montgomery, Esq., a poet of great merit, edited at this period the Sheffield Iris, a paper of wide circulation, and penned a most flattering review of “Airedale, &c.” As a consequence Nicholson sold more copies of the work in Sheffield than in any other town.'
