This commonplace book is undated. However, given that it is embossed with the initials 'W.L', it seems likely that she began making entries sometime after her marriage to William Lamb. Additional Comments:
Below the poem Lady Caroline has written 'Sheridan', and it would seem she is quoting from memory, as her entry is not a perfect transcription of Sheridan's poem. Transcribed by Lindsey Eckert.
