George Peabody Gooch : History of Our Time, 1885-1913

I have just read a 1/- book — History of our own Times 1885-1913. It is a kind of Lords Modern Europe written in a somewhat different style and embracing the whole world. Its observations on the improbability of war are very amusing — seeing what we have seen.
