Prof. Agnes Kukulska-Hulme (Modish-EDI project lead) is Professor of Learning Technology and Communication in the Institute of Educational Technology at The Open University, where she leads the Learning Futures Programme. Her research encompasses mobile learning, pedagogical innovation and social inclusion.

Ram A. Giri, an academic at Monash College/Monash University, Melbourne, has published in international journals, written book chapters, and published co-edited books. His research interests include TESOL, language testing, and language (education) policy. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of NELTA.

Dr Philip Sergeant works as Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics at The Open University, where he teaches and researches language and communication. He has written and edited a dozen academic monographs, textbooks and collections on topics ranging from World Englishes, language and social media to language and creativity.

Dr Saraswati Dawadi, a research fellow at The Open University, has extensive experience of researching/working with marginalised students. Her research focuses on girls’ empowerment, roles of technology in promoting/reducing inclusion in education, technology use for teachers’ professional development and school leadership.

Dr Julian Edwards is a Research Fellow at The Open University, an expert in quantitative social research and a tutor in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He has published on a range of topics including work-related quality of life, and has conducted longitudinal research.

Prof. Jinlan Tang is the Dean and Professor in the Institute of Online Education, and a researcher at the Artificial Intelligence and Human Languages Lab, Beijing Foreign Studies University, China. Her research covers language assessment, teacher training, EFL teaching and learning in the e-learning environment. She serves as the Co-Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of China Computer-Assisted Language Learning.

Dr Mian Md. Naushaad Kabir is associate professor of English Language at the Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka. He co-edited The Routledge Handbook of English Language Education in Bangladesh (2021). He is the founder executive editor of BELTA Journal, and the vice president of TESOL Society of Bangladesh (2022-23).

Dr. Santosh Mahapatra is an Associate Professor at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, India. His research interests are teacher development, technology in language education, assessment and language policy. He has published in many international journals and received several research grants including those from the British Council.

Dr. Yuli Tiarina, M.Pd is a lecturer in the English Language and Literature Department,  Languages and Arts Faculty of Universitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia. She is interested in  English Material Development , Assessment, TEFL, Research Methodology, and Curriculum. She has published in national and international articles. She also has experience as a reviewer and editor of accredited journals.
