The department’s partner orchestra, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE), begins its Southbank Season this year on Wednesday 25 October at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London.
The concert is also the first event this year in the partnership between the OU and the OAE, with Robert Samuels of the music department giving a pre-concert talk. The programme, entitled ‘Haydn first and last’, features Haydn’s symphonies nos 1 and 104.
