Migration for more equitable growth in rising African economies

A wave of economic dynamism across Africa has intensified migration within, and to the continent. Despite this growth, the gap between the richest and poorest in many countries is increasing.

The challenge is how to translate this new economic growth into opportunities for all in society so monetary and non-monetary benefits are more fairly distributed.

Our research looks at the nature of this new migration in a number of rising African countries to explore the potential contribution of migrant groups to more inclusive growth.
