Beverley Nichols : Men Do Not Weep

'Unfortunately, I introduced the subject of Men must Weep by Beverley Nichols. I always forget Mabel is an unrepentant Pacifist. Even now she will not admit that their Propaganda has largely led us into this mess. He writes of the idea launched some years ago that a body of non-belligerents should march between the battling armies and stop them. He says how ludicrous it all sounds now.'
