Additional Comments:

It is impossible to conclusively identify the text that this record refers to. It may be George A. Birmingham's 1914 novel of the same name, or any one of a number of books and pamphlets published on the Lost Tribes of Israel in the years leading up to the First World War. Considering Cook's interest in prophetic literature and the "end times" generally, the latter seems more likely.
