There’s good news for those looking to enter the world of postgraduate study with the launch of a brand new set of funding awards from The Science Registry - the people behind FindAMasters.com and FindAPhD.com.
The bursary, which totals £9,000, is available to students across a range of disciplines.
There are two sets of awards - one for Master’s students and one for those embarking on PhD studies.

From Monday 5th to Friday 30th March 2012, the OU Careers Advisory Service is running an online forum for postgraduate students wanting to plan their next career steps. The forum is moderated by three careers advisers and is an opportunity for you to share advice, thoughts and experiences regarding the career opportunities open to you with a postgraduate qualification. You can post a question, provide help to other postgraduate students, or just come in and browse.
This forum will provide an excellent chance to ask about and discuss a whole range of topics such as:

The forum will be open for four weeks and then become read-only for a further 12 months.

The ICT Ireland Skillnet in association with Dublin Institute of Technology has launched a unique, one-year, full-time, intensive Masters degree in Applied Software Technology which is free to students and offers full time employment with LM Ericsson upon satisfactory completion.
Entry is confined to graduates who are Irish or EEA nationals, not currently in employment. Candidates must have a 2:1 Honours Degree in a relevant cognate discipline, including (but not limited to) Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Data Networking etc. but qualified applicants from any discipline with significant content in Maths, Problem Solving, Logic and Critical Thinking will receive positive consideration.
Screening and selection of up to 50 candidates will take place during March - April 2012 and places will be offered by July for a start in mid-September.
