Be it remembered, that on the sixteenth day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Five at the Lambeth Police Court in the County of Surrey and within the Metropolitan Police District, CAROLINE CURTIS, being charged before me the undersigned, one of the Magistrates of the Police Courts of the Metropolis sitting at the police court aforesaid, for that she on the fifteenth day of October at the Parish of Lambeth in the said County and District did COMMIT LARCENY AS A SERVANT, that is to say, did feloniously steal two pair of stockings and other articles, the property of Thomas WHITEHEAD, her master and employer. Contrary to the Statute in such case made and provided, and pleading guilty to such charge, she is thereupon imprisoned in the House of Correction at Wandsworth in the said County and District and there kept to hard labour for the space of two calendar months.
