Donald Burrows appointed Emeritus Professor

Donald BurrowsEarlier in the year the Department gathered to celebrate Professor Donald Burrows‘ long and distinguished career at The Open University. Although his official retirement date was the end of January, in his new role as Emeritus Professor Donald has of course continued working with his customary energy and enthusiasm. Recognised internationally as a leading expert on Handel, a particular focus for Donald is the publication of five substantial volumes of documentary material from Handel’s lifetime relating to the composer which he is editing with the Department’s Helen Coffey – the outcomes from the George Frideric Handel: Collected Documents project.IMAG0038
