Public talk at Bethlem Museum of the Mind

Rosemary Golding will be giving her talk on music in nineteenth-century asylums at Bethlem Museum of the Mind this coming Saturday, 1 July. The talk, which was postponed from March, considers the ways in which music was used in asylums (from bands to concerts to the chapel) and the link between music and therapy in this context.
Places are available and can be booked at http://museumofthemind.org.uk/whats-on/event-info/music-as-therapy-in-the-nineteenth-century-asylum
If you can’t make it and would like to know more about Rosemary’s project, see her blog at https://musichealthandhappiness.wordpress.com/
