On Monday 9 October some of the MA students met for a study day in Milton Keynes. The morning was spent exploring the two MA modules A873 and A874, followed by a group reading session considering Roland Barthes’ classic text, ‘The grain of the voice’.
In the afternoon we talked about postgraduate writing skills, focusing on editing and on using a style sheet. The day finished with Ben Winters and Byron Dueck presenting their current work in progress and telling us about recent research trips to the USA and Cameroon.
We wish all new MA students well in their upcoming studies.
