Impact and the Victorian University

Rosemary Golding has been invited to speak at an event to be held later this month at Glasgow University, looking at the impact of Victorian Universities as well as the potential impact of Victorian Studies on the modern world. Rosemary’s work on Music in Victorian Universities explores the ways in which the early development of music as an academic subject was subject to the influence of social and institutional contexts. Registration is free and details are available via the Scottish Centre for Victorian Studies website: http://scvs.ac.uk/index.php/events/
