Description
This programme is the edited record of a day in which young children, aged between seven and nine, worked with light-weight video cameras and recorders. It was recorded on location and shows the ch...ildren's investigation of their equipment and first experiments. It then goes on to compare two different stories which they dramatised and directed for camera and then we compare the pictures the children made on their machines with those made by the professional cameras. The programme ends with the children's exploration of this workshop environment and in particular the cameras and equipment of the professionals who recorded their activity. It is linked to unit 2 of the course 'The Moving Image' and the author of the unit, Kathy Dunn, takes part in the programme.
