Abstract: Universities are now increasingly conscious of ‘Decolonisation’ and there is already work on ‘Decolonising the Curriculum’ in many institutions. Until recently ‘decolonising educational technology’ had been largely overlooked. The attached draft (UNESCO_Decolonising Education Technology) was commissioned by UNESCO and represents a broad overview with some preliminary recommendations. In particular, it embraces the breadth of educational technology from dedicated systems within formal education to informal learning on social media, and explores the technology and theorising upon which educational technology is built.
