Description
'In the video the student is presented with an 'armchair' field excursion to the Lewisian of the Northern part of mainland Northwest Scotland. The Lewisian complex forms the northwestern foreland o...f the Caledonian orogenic belt in Northern scotland where it is overridden by thrust masses of Moinian metasediments along the Moine Thrust Zone. That it forms part of the crust underpinning the Caledonide belt is shown by deformed inliers of Lewisian within the Moines.'
