The “Engaging people with your research” workshop is suitable for PhD students wishing to get involved in public engagement. It is funded by NERC and delivered by the Edinburgh Living Landscape partnership at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
By the end of the course, participants should be able to:
• Understand benefits of public engagement on their research and the natural environment
• Be inspired by case studies and learn how to be interactive and creative
• Be aware of opportunities to get involved and how to start their own project
• Gain confidence in communicating science and research to a non-specialist audience.
It’s a great opportunity to learn and develop skills that will help during your PhD and beyond!
There are 20 fully funded places. Travel and, if required, accommodation costs will be covered.
