The bid UNIVERSAL (R$ 274 803,00) supported by Rumpus Group (Dr. Okada) was awarded by the Brazil Government in one of the most competitive calls, as result of the Knowledge Exchange Programme part of the EU CONNECT (€ 1 513 365,38).
The Project UNIVERSAL “Open schooling with digital technologies to connect university, school and society” explores various initiatives that bring universities, schools, and society closer to promote inclusion, retention, achievement and progression of students in Secondary Education. This project focuses on Open Schooling through authentic projects with scientists and community members, articulating socio-scientific issues and curriculum with fun participatory scientific approaches. Its objective is to promote digital and scientific literacies in different contexts led by seven universities in Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) , Paraná (PUC-PR), Santa Catarina (UFSC), São Paulo (PUC-SP), Bahia (UNEB), Ceará (UFCA) and UK (OU).
