Damon is Manager for Information and Communications for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), having joined the Faculty of Arts in 2008. He has experience of copywriting and content production, as well as HE and curriculum administration.
As part of the FASS Communications and Web Team, Damon is responsible for social media; online and print prospectuses; publications; curriculum promotion; events (including seminar and conference promotion); broadcast information; student engagement; and internal communications. He also leads on communications for the FASS Equality and Diversity Team.
Independently, Damon researches and writes on utopianism, ideal communities (and pirates)
Damon is currently an Associate Lecturer in International Development. He was previously Jean Monnet Professor at Essex University.
He holds an MA (Hons) in Politics, MA in World Politics, and PhD in Utopan Studies.
