My story 'Single Sit' won the Galley Beggar Press Prize, and was published in Best British Stories 2021.

I studied at the universities of Derby, East Anglia, and Greenwich. I completed my PhD at the Open University, where I researched cinemagoing, and D/deafness. I am currently supervising three PhDs, all in fiction.
