I joined The Open University in March 2024 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Psychology and Counseling. After completing my BSc in Forensic Science, an MSc in Criminology, and a PhD in Criminal Justice at Canterbury Christ Church University, I've developed a strong interest in the experiences of marginalized groups within the Criminal Justice System (CJS).
As an early career researcher, my primary focus lies in the legal consciousness of migrant populations. I am particularly interested in the processes available to refugees and asylum seekers for asserting their rights regarding asylum and hate crime in the host country.
Currently, I am utilizing my qualitative research skills, gained from working with marginalized and vulnerable groups, to investigate public trust in forensic science evidence within the Criminal Justice System.
