Professional biography

I am an educational developer specialising in online learning, Higher Education teacher and researcher.  I am experienced in leading, facilitating, writing, developing and delivering innovative online professional development, as well as Higher Education teaching, including adult education, school leavers, distance, online and blended learning environments. I am a strong believer in constructivist and student-centred learning, and in creating learning environments which encourage student engagement, learning through interactions, and experiential learning, whilst combining this with learning through personal study and reflection. My discipline background is in theoretical and experimental Physics and Astronomy, both research and teaching. I have presented and published in the fields of e-Learning and Online Professional Development, as well as in Physics and Astronomy.
