Nigel started working at The Open University in 2009 as an Associate Lecturer and is currently a tutor on a range of modules in the BSC (Hons) Sport, Fitness & Coaching degree. This year, he has joined the central academic team as a Lecturer in Sport and Fitness and is the E314 Module Team Chair. Previously, he has worked as a fitness manager and as a sport and fitness lecturer in the FE and HE sectors. Throughout his professional career he has also worked in qualification development and quality management for awarding bodies in the sport and fitness industry. Nigel has remained active as a registered personal trainer for many years.
Nigel's research interests are within exercise physiology and the quality of educational practice.
