Union School of Theology

Union School of Theology (UST) offers a widely respected theological education delivered at all levels of Higher Education - BA (Hons), Graduate Diploma, and Master of Theology. All these programmes are validated by the Open University. We also have a partnership arrangement with the Free University of Amsterdam to jointly deliver their PhD programme. Most graduates go on to work in Christian churches in a wide range of denominations, both in the UK and worldwide. At UST we encourage both academic and spiritual growth. Central to this is studying and worshipping in community, and pastoral care. UST’s courses have an emphasis on biblical, theological, historical and preaching studies and ministry practice. We are committed to flexible and accessible approaches to theological study – both in terms of location and modes of study. Our campus offers residential education, while our growing network of local Learning Communities gives access to theological education for those who cannot move to the campus. The student body of Union includes people of different nationalities, backgrounds, denominations and educational experiences.
