LTI seminar series: 10 years of Learning Design at the OU: So, what next?

Rebecca Galley – 10 years of Learning Design at the OU: So, what next?

When Wednesday 23 January at 14:00 – 15:00

Where The Hub Theatre

The Open University has been one of few institutions to systematically capture designs for learning at a large scale, and we are relatively mature in our approach. By applying advanced analytical techniques on these large and fine-grained datasets, the OU has been leading the way in unpacking the complexity of distance and online learning, as well as providing evidence of how learning design influences student behaviour, satisfaction and performance.

This series of seminars intends to take a critical perspective to open up conversations about key themes in eLearning. The sessions are interactive and hope to generate some usable outputs to inform our future practice and policy. In this session, Rebecca Galley will re-introduce what Learning Design is, and reflect on past progress, the positioning of the university in this global research space and consider future opportunity.
