I joined the then-Information Office in 2011 as an Information Analyst on the Returns team. Within the now-Strategy & Information Office, I have particular responsibility for the Key Information Set (KIS) return, the National Student Survey (NSS) and for Heidi and Heidi Plus. I also work with colleagues on the annual HESA Student return, with particular involvement in data quality checking and HESA liaison.
I previously worked at the University of Reading for a Lifelong Learning Network, a HEFCE-funded initiative to increase vocational progression to HE, and prior to that for the education consultancy CfBT Education Trust (now the Education Development Trust) where I was responsible for data management and reporting for the government-funded Fast Track Teaching programme. I hold a PhD in Linguistics and was previously an Associate Lecturer for the now-discontinued Level 2 module U210 ‘The English Language: Past, Present and Future’.
