I am a Staff Tutor in Mathematics and Statistics and an applied mathematician. Prior to joining the Open University, I worked at the University of South Wales as a Mathematics Lecturer. I completed my PhD at the University of Bath in Mathematical Biology, before undertaking a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Michigan.
My main research interest is in using mathematics to model the spread of infectious diseases in populations (both human and animal).
