Professional biography

I am currently a Staff Tutor with the Open University in the school of Engineering and Innovation with tuition manager responsibilities across a number of design and engineering modules.Prior to joining the OU full-time, I was a senior engineering lecturer and assistant principal in a secondary and sixth form college. I have worked in education for 27 years and in addition to this have been a reserve army combat medic with the Royal Army Medical Corp and a Senior Analyst Programmer with Rolls Royce Aero Engines. Although new to a full-time position with the Open University, I have been an associate lecturer in the School of Engineering and Innovation since 2010. I have taught on several modules within the school, across the design, engineering, and environmental disciplines. I am currently delivering on T192 and T452.

Research interests

I am currently exploring the possibility of differences in civialin and miltary pedagogical approaches.
