Walton Hall Campus has been built over a period dating from the early 1970's. The Building Regulations have changed considerably over that period and, consequently, the earlier buildings were insulated to a much lower standard than later buildings. However, in the meantime, some of the earlier buildings have been partly or fully cavity insulated.
It is intended to ensure that all buildings with suitable cavity walls are fully cavity insulated. An investigation has been carried out to determine which buildings are suitable for cavity wall insulation.
This work will involve drilling a series of holes through the wall into the cavity, so that the insulation can be injected.
