Annual Lecture

Professor Richard Dawkins.

The Open University 2009 Annual Lecture, featuring eminent evolutionary expert Professor Richard Dawkins, was held at the Natural History Museum on Tuesday 17th March. Dawkins presented to an invited audience and investigated if Darwin was the most revolutionary scientist ever, and examined the evolutionary theories of his contemporaries.

In partnership with Darwin200, Dawkins' lecture was part of the celebrations to mark the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of his book 'On the Origin of Species'. The lecture was followed by a question and answer session with a panel of Darwin experts.
