What next?

Receipt of your application form will be acknowledged via an automated email. As soon as possible after the closing date, applications are considered and a shortlist drawn up.  Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for interview. 

We do not contact applicants who have not been shortlisted.

The interview panel usually consists of two members of OU staff. You will be informed of the outcome of the interview. If you are appointable, and there are sufficient student numbers, a contract is sent to you approximately one month before the start of the module.

Your application remains valid for a 12-month period from the date of receipt. Applications of appointable candidates will be extended to the start of the next module presentation plus 12 months.

Applications of candidates who are not deemed appointable after an interview will be terminated and you will need to reapply following a vacancy advertisement.
