Description
Professor Godfrey Vesey discusses the idea that people are responsible for their actions, in the light of the work of recent behavioural psychologists, who believe that heredity and environment and... not free will are the factors that condition human actions and behaviour. He finds their claims unproved and decries the notions of 'social control' that have resulted from such ideas as a basic impoverishment of the most important element of our humanity.
